Also, look for a model with multiple alert options including an audio signal and a visual display of the target.
Many models have a variety of modes to help users identify different types of metal. For example, some can distinguish between silver and gold coins, while others can locate relics or iron. You can also adjust the ground-adjust controls on a few models to make it easier for beginners to operate them.
