if you had to build a bike starting from nothing (I mean build, not remodelling), what equippment (frame, engine, gearbox, brakes..) would you assembly?
I was thinking about a Daytec frame rubber mount FXR style
a shovel style engine
6 speed transimssion
...

I would use the same components as you but with tp-engineering engine and GCB front forks.
I think that more than one Finnish have thought about ground up project but only a couple has been build, because the taxes and other things. What are the extra costs in Italy to build this kind of bike?

Bartantero, it depends on what kind of style you are planning to build (chopper, custom etc.) and how much money are willing to spend...
I prefer swedish frames. The shovel-style motor is perfect

BUT, my opinion is that a Daytec frame and Shovel motor won´t match together... Like Mikira said, Evo-style motor would be better. However, that´s my opinion.

A Goldammer front end would be perfect with your combination.
I´m afraid you have to figure out yourself the style of your bike, then we´ll get back to the component level.
Take care,

What I would like to get is a bike that, having a vintage style, could be technically up to date.
I like HD, and actually I own two (heritage 1340 + ironhead), but I'm willing for a bike with an improved stability.
I mean that, altought I may enjoy it sometimes, I'm quite tired in "adjusting the curves" usign barke - throttle - brakes.
The ideal in style is, in my opinion, close to a Duo Glide. No long forks.
Not too long pass, so the bike should be enjoyable also in short curves.
Confortable suspension, still in a low profile look.
About registering the bike, when you can show you paid VAT (20%) on the assembled parts, you have to pay some 3.000 euros for the papers...
Go on with suggestions!
Thank tou

Hi,
Here is a bike what you can easily take to curves and it also has that type of engine what you are looking for!
