Shade Pattern<br />

Good Blue Herons seem blue-gray from the length, with a wide black stripe above the eye. In flight, the higher aspect in the wing is two-toned: pale to the forewing and darker within the flight feathers. A pure white subspecies occurs in coastal southern Florida.<br />

Searching Good Blue Herons wade slowly or stand statue-like, stalking fish along with other prey in shallow h2o or open fields.
